Mack and Mabel

The names Mack Sennett and Mabel Normand are synonymous with silent films. The legendary director who gave us the Keystone Cops and Bathing Belles narrates their turbulent story set when ‘Movies Were Movies’.

Nominated for 8 Tony Awards on Broadway, this slick and stylish musical features an outstanding score with well-known hits like I Wanna Make the World Laugh, Time Heals Everything, and the ultimate poignant love song I Won’t Send Roses.

A tribute to the grit and glamour of the era, Mack and Mabel is a dazzling musical comedy which really will Tap Your Troubles Away.

“[Captures] the sheer exhilaration of the early days of the movie industry” THE SCOTSMAN

"Mr Herman has the common touch, a gift for melodies familiar and memorable... A musical in the old and true tradition" THE NEW YORK TIMES

This amateur production of Mack and Mabel is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH LTD, a Concord Theatricals Company.
