“Unequivocally a masterpiece” THIS IS LONDON
Georges and Anne are retired music teachers still in love in their eighties. However, when Anne suddenly has a stroke at breakfast their lives are never the same again. The incident begins Anne's harrowingly steep physical and mental decline and Georges’ efforts to care for her at home. Even as the fruits of their lives and career remain bright, the couple's hopes for some dignity prove a dispiriting struggle. In the end, Georges, with his love fighting against his own weariness is driven to make some critical decisions for them both.
