Freedom
“We’re not the troubles we face, but how we choose to face them”
When Tajik farmer Benham tells a daring lie to protect his farmlands from trouble, he finds himself forced to invent a wild scheme in order to collect the evidence that will prove his untruth, involving sending his son, Fariad, to England.
Once there, Fariad develops a relationship with Jennifer, an emotionally damaged young woman, and his feelings for her begin to interfere with Benham’s carefully laid plans. The three rapidly each find themselves forced to choose between their own freedom and the freedom of the other two in this powerful story of seduction, betrayal and avarice.
