When is a Life Complete?
Dr. Michael Irwin is a retired GP who, for ten years, was the Medical Director at the United Nations in New York.
Since his retirement, he has been twice elected as Chairman of the Voluntary Euthanasia Society (now known as Dignity in Dying) and has been President of the World Federation of Right to Die Societies.
In this frank and illuminating talk, he will consider the various factors which can result in someone, usually elderly, reaching the stage of a “completed life” – a concept which can be useful when someone wants to discuss their end-of-life plans with family and doctors.
Following on from Dr. Irwin’s talk, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to discuss the issues raised.
