Gilbert (No Sullivan)

Before writer W. S. Gilbert met composer Arthur Sullivan to form theatre's most famous partnership, he wrote stories - outrageous, absurd and hilarious stories.

For the first time three of his funniest tales and two of the best-loved comic ballads take to the stage in this inventive new adaptation by Mitchell & Nixon (writers of hit shows Those Magnificent Men and Big Daddy Vs. Giant Haystacks), which comes to Guildford following a highly popular tour.

Performed by David Mounfield - soon to continue his long association with GBBO's Mel Giedroyc in Count Arthur Strong’s Radio Show with new R4 comedy series Rum Bunch - and Brian Mitchell (Those Magnificent Men and The Ornate Johnsons), Gilbert (No Sullivan) is the perfect night out for fans and a great introduction to one of England’s wittiest writers.
