James and the Giant Peach

James Trotter is an orphan living in misery with his horrid Aunts Sponge and Spiker who bully him day and night. One day, James meets a strange old man who gives him a bag full of the strongest magic which can make marvellous things happen. Disaster strikes when James spills the bag but then the magic starts to work and a peach on the old dead tree starts to grow… and grow… and grow.

Soon James’s adventures begin as he escapes from the evil Aunts and sets off on a wonderful journey with his giant new friends Centipede, Earthworm, Grasshopper, Ladybird and Spider.

Find out how the friends survive an attack by sharks, hungry seagulls and insects overboard in this sparkling musical adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s favourite stories.

For 20 years, the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre has been packing houses and winning rave reviews for their performances with recent success including Peter Pan, Charlotte’s Web, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Wind in the Willows and The Wizard of Oz.
