Jongleurs Comedy - On the Road
The world-famous comedy club is at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre for one night only, with another superb line-up from the best of the British stand-up circuit.
During this hilarious evening three comedians and a compere will take to the stage to tickle your funny bone.
MC Rhodri Rhys
Rhodri Rhys has moved swiftly since joining the comedy circuit and can now be seen regularly as an act and compére in London, across the UK and internationally.
Rhodri’s act combines sharp wit and observation with a natural geniality. His material is broad and colourful, drawing on his own experiences while deftly seaming in religion, business, sport, history and just a splash of naughtiness too..
ACT 1 Holly Walsh
Holly Walsh is a commissioned writer and performer for Radio 4, Radio 2, Channel 4, BBC3, BBC4, CBBC and Current TV. She was Chortle Best Newcomer in 2008 and a finalist in Hacknet Empire New Act of the Year (2007), So You Think You’re Funny (2006), Amused Moose Competition (2006) and Funny Women (2006)
ACT 2 Carey Marx
Carey Marx has been a circuit favourite for years mixing his own blend of dark humour with his mischeivious and gleeful delivery. His willful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. This hilarious mix of edgy topics and playful gagsmithery can be seen at all the top clubs across the country with Marx regularly playing Jongleurs, Komedia and The Comedy Store and annually compering Reading, Leeds and Glastonbury Festivals
ACT 3 Jonny Awsum
After completing an eight-year comedy apprenticeship as barman at The Chuckle Club, Jonny Awsum exploded onto the professional comedy scene with a crowd-pleasing set that’s seen him smash hundreds of gigs all around the world.
With his likeable style and trusty guitar, Jonny’s musings include everything from the white lies he tells his girlfriend to his new home town of Croydon and the memory of his first love at eight years old.
Comfortable with any type of gig, Jonny’s feel-good set has captivated audiences at every kind of venue from pub back rooms to 700 seat theatres to a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe with his hit show 'Playtime'.
This is the perfect way to get your New Year off to a hilarious start!
