The Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre presents
Everyone knows the best way to start a revolution is by getting organised. Not afraid to ask the big questions, James, Leo and Emily tackle the financial system, banking, political ideologies, philosophy and the average size of a Snickers.
It’s hard being taken seriously if you’re a bit of a cliché and you haven’t really done your research, but something has to be done. The country’s a mess. Somebody needs to sort it out and everyone else seems too preoccupied.
A comedy about being young and feeling frustrated with society, and then feeling frustrated at what a cliché being young and frustrated is.
Revolution Society is the winning play in an international writing festival run by the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre. The competition, to find a new play for young actors, attracted entries from as far afield as South Africa, the USA and Europe. The winner is Londoner Sarah Power who is a student at Manchester University. As well as a run in Edinburgh, the play will be published by Stagescripts Ltd.
