Swan Lake

Join us for the compelling legend of a princess turned into a swan by an evil curse…

Prince Siegfried falls in love with the White Swan princess, Odette, who is under a magic spell and can only be saved by a man who declares her as his first and only love.

He promises his eternal love but unfortunately he is tricked by Von Rothbart, who casts a spell to make him fall in love with his daughter, Princess Odile (also known as the Black Swan), who closely resembles his love Princess Odette. Under a spell and mesmerised by her beauty, the prince forgets Odette and promises his love to Odile.

From the impressive splendour of the palace ballroom to the moonlit lake where swans glide in perfect formation, Swan Lake is undoubtedly one of the most romantic ballets of all time.

The great ‘Pas de Deux’,’ Pas de Quatre’ and iconic ‘Danse des Petits Cygnes’ are performed to Tchaikovsky’s gloriously unforgettable score, capturing the full range of human emotions – from hope to despair, terror to tenderness, and melancholy to ecstasy.

This beautifully compelling tale of tragic romance has it all.
