Presented by Triple C Theatre Company
Talking Heads SOLD OUT
Originally filmed for television and published by BBC books in 1998, Talking Heads is widely regarded as a modern classic.
This stage production features the monologues; Lady of Letters, Bed Among the Lentils and A Chip in the Sugar.
Each monologue unveils the layers of a life: Irene, the lonely writer of poison pen letters to her neighbours; Susan, the alcoholic wife of an up and coming local vicar and Graham, the educationally challenged mother-obsessed loner. Bennett’s brilliant writing and caustic humour provide rich material for the actors and a hilarious and moving evening for the audience.
Triple C was formed in January 2012 by three local artistes; Catharine Humphries, Cory Peterson and Julia Carey. Catharine and Cory met while playing Charlotte and Carl Magnus respectively in PH Productions A Little Night Music, performed on the Main Stage of Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in September 2011. Julia and Cory recently returned to England after 20 years in the USA where they were co-artistic directors of the critically acclaimed Theatre Exchange Company in Minneapolis and Theatre M in New York, where they won several awards for their productions of new work. Triple C is interested in producing small scale work in Guildford and bringing the vast array of local talent available to the wonderfully supportive Guildford audiences.
