The X Factor Finalist, Holly Tandy will be taking to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre stage as the star of this year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. Oh yes she is!
Holly will be appearing alongside Guildford’s favourite Kit Hesketh-Harvey as the Bad Fairy Carabosse, Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon as Nanny Fanny and everyone’s favourite Brummie Jamie Brook as Muddles.
When Evil Fairy, Carabosse doesn’t receive an invite to Princess Aurora’s christening, she casts a curse on her.
Can the Good Fairy and Muddles protect Aurora? Will the Prince save the day?
With award-winning choreography, fabulous sets, sparkling costumes, magical illusions and enough laughter to wake up even the sleepiest of princesses, this year’s Sleeping Beauty is a must-see for all the family.
INTERVIEW WITH HOLLY TANDY
We caught up with X Factor finalist Holly Tandy at the recent Sleeping Beauty photoshoot.
Hi Holly, Welcome to Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and our panto this year, Sleeping Beauty.
Thank you, I am so excited. It has been great meeting the rest of the cast today. I can’t wait to get stuck in and see the audience smiling and enjoying the show.
Tell us about the 2017 X Factor auditions…
It was amazing. I went straight into the X Factor auditions after leaving school. It has been a whirlwind but it has led me to where I am today, it’s been so much fun.
What have you been up to since X Factor?
I was recently one of six singers who took part in Eurovision You Decide to represent the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. I have also been doing lots of charity work and this summer I will be releasing an album, and learning my lines for panto.
Have you ever been to Guildford before?
I haven’t. I recently recorded some songs in a recording studio near Guildford and my mum visited the town and said how lovely it is. It’s funny that I am now going to be here in panto. I can’t wait to look around and get to know the town, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.
What are you most looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to playing an amazing character with a twist – all will be revealed. The character is all about female empowerment. It’s a great story and fabulous Christmas panto.
What message do you have for the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre audience?
Get yourself down here and enjoy a great night out, featuring the classic story of Sleeping Beauty with lots of fun, laughter and illusions thrown in. It’s going to be amazing!
