Cast members in costume and members of the tech team are scattered around the set with screwdrivers and hoovers, either taking the set apart or fixing it. They seem shocked to see the audience. ‘Cleaning in progress’ signs line the stage.
The man with a cravat and yellow tweed clothes, the shouting man in a brown tweed coat, and the man with the fake moustache and a three-piece suit kneel side by side with a hand on their knee and their other right hand held to their faces in a thoughtful pose.
The man in yellow tweed and the boy in private school uniform are fencing. The boy leaps from the chaise lounge in a split jump to dodge the blade of the man’s sabre as it sweeps beneath his feet.

Resident pianist Jordan Anyiri will be playing in the Circle Bar pre-show (from 6:30pm) and during the interval of the 7:30pm performance on Sat 13 Aug!
